Southern Housing is seeking a Head of Product Innovation to define our vision and approach in how we deliver fast paced change through digital products. We are a design-led Transformation Team, passionate about creating brilliant services through a user-centred service design approach. This role leads a team of Product Managers and Product Owners who will bring product design to life as part of cross functional delivery teams. What You’ll Do:

  • Define a Product Innovation approach that provides a framework for cross functional teams to design, build, test, learn and deliver for our end users in a constant feedback loop
  • Lead the embedding of this approach across our organisation in collaboration with the Transformation, Technology and Data teams.
  • Lead and manage Product Managers, Product Owners and other resources to deliver the transformation programme within cross functional programme/project teams
  • Work closely with the Head of Service Design and Change to ensure the design/test/learn/deliver loop for all products works in practise
  • Work closely with the Head of Transformation Programme to ensure all programmes are adequately resourced by the Product Innovation team
  • Manage partnerships and supplier relationships with key digital suppliers and transformation resources.
  • Champion product innovation to ensure we’re at the forefront of our product capabilities; be aligned with the principles of user-centred design and how product priorities will align to these; understand how user engagement in products is critical to success and embed this within the work they do
  • Have a strong POV in the approach to AI across our products and our wider organisation and be clear in how to embed this across the Transformation Programme products
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture and build strong relationships with stakeholders, specifically with our Technology and Data teams.

What You’ll Need:

  • Senior product leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery, service design, and digital transformation.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.
  • Experience in housing, public sector, or regulated environments is desirable.
  • Agile Practitioner, Scrum Master, or Product Owner certification required; technology architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF) essential.
